Climbing roses are also classified as either Large-flowered and Cluster-flowered. They are often bred from bush roses and, where this happens, they retain their original name prefixed with the word 'Climbing'. Climbing roses, which usually flower in spring, can be trained to grow over walls or verandahs. They usually flower in spring.
